Your approaching the final stretch of 2017, as we near the final month of the third quarter. Time to evaluate your business’s online and conventional marketing strategies before the holiday packed fourth quarter of this year. Even if you are a services oriented business, the fourth quarter may be traditionally, a slower time for your business. Wouldn’t it be good, to see a boost of 5-10% or better, over last year’s fourth quarter? Of course.

Review your website and online advertising (Like newsletters, email-blasts, correspondences, Google+, Social Media and more). Be sure your website is up-to-date. Current pricing, deals, specials, descriptions of products and services, newest relevant pictures and videos. Your business website needs to stay relevant and current for customers and with the Search-engines crawling your website and indexing your information for potential new customer searches.

If your website doesn’t meet the same standard, you expect your business to meet with its customers, then change is in order. Talk to your current website designer or developer, discuss developing and or upgrading your site to be, its best. Talk about potential specials and events, timely posting to the website over the next quarter. Also, review your website’s Internet reports regularly, they can help define, the strengths and weaknesses of your business website.

When building and or having a website built. It’s essential to have original content. The design and layout of your website are the brick and mortar(Storefront) of your website’s presence on the Internet. The content posted on your website is your inventory.

It’s your website content and not your website design that Search Engines like Google, Bing, Yahoo and thousands of others, index your website for ranking and or placement. The SEO (Search Engine Optimization) crawlers that sweep your website, use your content to properly index your business website into the correct, internet search categories, to be found by your potential new customers.

Website content shouldn’t be flowery or creative, but concise and simple. After all, you can own the most impressive looking restaurant from the outside and inside. But if the food is no good, customers won’t stay and or comeback to visit. If your website is hard to understand, or clearly doesn’t state what you do, then inventory your products and services so potential customers visiting your website/storefront, can relate to it, in 15 seconds or less.

There’re many questions you should ask yourself and more importantly your website designer/developer/marketer as we kick-off the new year. I’ve three questions below as examples.

What do my website analytics tell us about how the site is trafficking and marketing?

If your website designer/developer has you on any kind of marketing plan, then they must also have your business website accumulating monthly analytics. This is important, accessing how well your website is doing and how it converts hits into customers is vital to your business and website’s ongoing development. Your business website analytics can track what country, state, city, the type of device used to view your website and the flow from page to page, including time spent on each. This plus a lot more can help your web-professional with pro-active and aggressive optimization and user experience satisfaction that will provide greater dollars to your bottom-line. We can all use that.

Does the home page of my website meet the (15sec.) rule?

You have 15 seconds to connect with your online visitor, if what they see doesn’t excite, inspire or make them curious, then ask your website designer/ developer to adjust the appearance, Image and brand your website’s Home Page is currently not reflecting. Again, the analytics I mentioned above will tell you how viewers rate your website pages and content. Later this year I’ll address how best to set-up a great Home Page.

Is my website content current?

We are all bad when it comes to keeping our website content current. This should be a daily, weekly or at the least a monthly task by you the business owner and or exec. Letting your website designer/developer know of new sales, inventory, personnel, contact information…etc. is extremely important to keeping your website at the top of any search engine and for the business website to do what it’s built for, new customer stream and serving existing customers.

If your website designer/developer is a marketing professional as we are at Media DUCK & david media solutions. Then talk with them about ideas how to best make your website aggressive at marketing your products and or services in 2017.

While this is only a summary of the ‘three questions to ask’. I hope it helps and encourages you to act immediately in making your website all it can be.

As always, If I can be of service personally, I’m but a phone call and or email away.

All the best

2016 is promising for businesses…

Traditionally Presidential election years can be slow growth for small to large businesses and even a no growth year. This in part, is due to the insecurity of political presidential choices. The candidate’s promises can be positive and or dismaying. 2016 is definitely a year of political confusion and dismay regardless of what side of the fence you sit on. Yet 2016 is promising.

2016 is promising because regardless of your presidential choice, change is coming and you can be positive about that. In 2016 two-thirds of business advertising and marketing is internet based with one-third traditional marketing. That should mean major cost savings in your ad budget, again a positive in 2016. I’m a believer in the coalescence of internet/digital and conventional marketing strategies, use your dollars well. Expand your conventional marketing some, with your new found digital marketing savings.

As a small business owner, you know you need to have a website, right? But building your online presence to attract more customers doesn’t stop there. Unfortunately, just because you build a website, doesn’t mean Internet traffic will come to visit. It takes Internet Marketing to ensure your site is seen by the largest number of prospective clients.

At Media DUCK Global we take a three-pronged approach for our clients that consists of both conventional and unconventional ideas, concepts and strategies:

*Power of Synergy (POS)

*Conceptional Marketing

*Collective Achievement

The Power of Synergy

Using the power of synergy, your Internet Marketing is both globally reaching and intimately successful. Today’s marketing requires a synergistic blend of analogue (Conventional) and digital marketing strategies. Together they’ll provide creative marketing that is greater than the sum of an individual resource.

Conceptional Marketing

What’s your business concept?

Conceptional Marketing is marketing your business’s products, services, person/persona, organization, and/or brand. Your website’s concept is reflected in its design and this reflects YOU. No one wants to do business with a company; they want to do business with YOU, especially on the World Wide Web, where a prospective customer can’t meet with a person face-to-face. Build your concept and build your clientele.

This applies to analogue marketing strategies as well. Customer walks into your place of business and or your tech, salesman or employee of any type walks into the customer’s residence or business. This is where their (The Customer’s) conception begins of your business.

Collective Achievement

It all adds up…

Simply put, the more widespread your Internet presence with a balance of analogue, the greater the potential for sales. Collective Achievement is an area often missed by conventional website design companies, in part because they are conventional website design companies. Media DUCK Global is unconventional, continually thinking outside the limits to achieve Internet and analogue Marketing success measured by your bottom line.

Websites are far from the idea of being a ‘Field of Dreams’ your potential customers won’t find you just because you built it. They find you, because you wisely invested in a synergy of analogue and digital marketing that offers collective success.
