Radio Ads, are they still relevant in the millennial age of marketing and advertising. Yes, but with a caveat. Although the Internet has exceeded time spent by users compared with TV and then radio. Radio’s decline is in double digits and the victor being the Internet. These stats are relevant whether you live in urban or rural America. While radio has seen up to 38% decline over the last few years it’s still a good source of marketing.

So why is Radio still a good source of marketing? The decline has provided in some areas better radio Ad rates and distribution. Radio stations offer bundled deals that are worthwhile to the business owner with funds seeking added exposure. With an Internet presence business owners can cut radio AD time and or spread out the coverage by saving dollars on the Ad length. You no longer need (30sec. – 1min.) Ads. Your radio Ad should be engaging with an objective of driving traffic to your website.

Offering an incentive for listeners to visit your website is good. There isn’t a radio Ad that can deliver the information in as an original presentation that your professional website can. Using a short creative radio Ad to drive traffic to your website is cost-effective and if timed with an online coupon, sweepstakes, contest, poll and the list goes on. You’ll see a lift in conversions of Ad dollars to sales.

“What difference at this point does it make…” or translated, ‘What does it matter.’ There’re figures in history and recent times who undoubtedly would take back these few words. And I know personally dozens of businesses, but sure there’re thousands more, whom also would like to take back similar words and or actions. Unfortunately for many businesses the “parade has passed them by.”

Long before Hillary used the quote above and countless times after, do I continue to hear business owners say, ‘What does it matter’ if I have a website and or Internet marketing. But the clock is ticking, time is eating away at the prosperous future of your business. The millennium bells have tolled for you and thy business. Prosper not, Prosper not harm you.

The question isn’t ‘What does it matter.’ The question you should ask yourself is, “What am I losing without a website plus marketing?” What is the up and down? The up, added business, your important connection first impression made over the Internet. The Internet is, now and forever the most used format the consumer connects to a service or product. The Internet has exceeded word of mouth through websites, marketing and social media. No one tells a friend, “Ate at a great restaurant last night.” They text it, email mail it, instant gram it and video it for You Tube. Facebook it, blog it and LinkedIn it.

Millennial customers will share a good experience. Immediately on sharing their experience, the recipient of their transmission quickly searches the Internet for your Web-Presence. No Presence, no new connection or customer. The millennial shopper won’t waste another thought on your business if not found on the Internet. Maybe a friendly reminder from the friend who introduced the high rating of your business. Otherwise, no cigar. Now, does that matter?

The down, what down? Cost isn’t a reason with plenty of website design and marketing companies to choose from, including self-service website design services. Which design and marketing company is best for your business? Why Media DUCK Global of course. But take a moment to talk with other website design and marketing businesses. Ask questions and compare. You’ll know when you’ve made, the Right Connection for your business whether Media DUCK Global or another company.

There’s little argument to say Memorial Day is a bittersweet Day of Remembrance. Remembering the men and women who died while in service of our Country. Both my parents served during World War II, mother as nurse and father as a soldier fighting in France. I have a son who fought in Afghanistan and a daughter currently in the Army located in South Korea. Neither parent, son nor daughter lost their life during their tenure. But on Memorial Day I thank God for those who did and pray for their families and the sacrifice they too have and continue to endure.

Without the lives of those we honor this and every Memorial Day, specifically. We as Americans may-not, have been blessed with the liberties we all share in today. This is the Day to thank the families who lost sons and daughters while serving this, the greatest Nation on Earth. And if all you can offer them is a prayer this Memorial Day. Then give them that. Below is one of my favorite Soldier’s Prayers…Share yours.

Psalms 91

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High

Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.

2 I will say to the LORD, “My refuge and my fortress,

My God, in whom I trust!”

3 For it is He who delivers you from the snare of the trapper

And from the deadly pestilence.

4 He will cover you with His pinions,

And under His wings you may seek refuge;

His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark.

5 You will not be afraid of the terror by night,

Or of the arrow that flies by day;

6 Of the pestilence that stalks in darkness,

Or of the destruction that lays waste at noon.

7 A thousand may fall at your side

And ten thousand at your right hand,

But it shall not approach you.

8 You will only look on with your eyes

And see the recompense of the wicked.

9 For you have made the LORD, my refuge,

Even the Most High, your dwelling place.

10 No evil will befall you,

Nor will any plague come near your tent.

11 For He will give His angels charge concerning you,

To guard you in all your ways.

12 They will bear you up in their hands,

That you do not strike your foot against a stone.

13 You will tread upon the lion and cobra,

The young lion and the serpent you will trample down.

14 “Because he has loved Me, therefore I will deliver him;

I will set him securely on high, because he has known My name.

15 “He will call upon Me, and I will answer him;

I will be with him in trouble;

I will rescue him and honor him.

16 “With a long life I will satisfy him

And let him see My salvation.”

The world has become a social digital society. It's here, no doubt about it. With plenty of social media forums, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn to mention a few bigger players. Plus a multitude of other social media websites to choose from or add to your everyday opportunity of opining, gossiping and more. I believe Hedda Hopper would’ve given anything to have the direct pipeline to millions everyone has access to today.

Yesterday my wife, youngest son and I saw Godzilla. We enjoyed the movie yet something bothered me. Why San Francisco couldn’t evacuate before Godzilla and MUTO fight it out. With speed of light transmissions, instant gram, Facebook, You Tube and every other social media source how it is possible to not have had an early warning. After all, my wife and I found out through Facebook before we received the call, our youngest daughter’s engagement. The Neighbors knock-down dragged-outfight is all over the social media before the police arrive. At (30) knots it would have taken Godzilla (67) hours. Nearly 3-days to arrive in the Bay. Granted MUTO flew, but the destruction didn’t begin for at least two days.

My point, yes millions use social media. But like baseball, if a ball thrown to first base on a single run and there’s no first baseman to catch it. What’s the point? Social Media Marketing sent at the right time, with the right content caught by the right person. (3) Rights, make it RIGHT Marketing.

How’s your Social Media Marketing working? RIGHT, I hope.

Here are a few areas of your website you can Spring Clean:

Home Page of your website: move or remove excessive text. Tighten, rewrite what text you leave on Home Page. Be aware of passive verbs and Bog index. Add new in place of older content. Add or replace picture-perfect graphics. Add Bullet Points with links to the home page.

About Us Page of your website: it's likely there’s time sensitive content on your About Us Page, Bio Page and or History Pages that need updating. Visitors to your website are loss when they view out-of-date content.

Product Page(s): Update your Product or Services Pages. Often business owners and website designers fail to update products with newer updated photos, pricing and descriptions. New products that have never made it to your website and or Product Pages and a Home Page that reflect newer products and services are essential. Adding a video could turn views into sales.

Gallery Page: a sure way to lose website visitors is by displaying outdated photos in your gallery. This tells your potential new customer, your information is out of date therefore unreliable. What does that say about your business? If your website currently has a Gallery Page, it needs updating also.

Contact Page: be sure your contact information is current. More times than not. When building a new website for a new client with a current website, their Contact Page information is incorrect.

Either you or your website designer can make these changes in short time. Taking the time, making the effort to apply these and other Spring Clean updates will add to the benefit of having a website. (15) Seconds if that, is all you have to garner a serious web-visitor’s curiosity to stay and view other pages of your website potentially converting into a sale.
